At Prime Cars, we provide a one-stop service, which includes all administration work required from importing the car, registering with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) to inspection before actual delivery. With all the necessary documentation taken care of by us, you can obtain your car in good condition without any hassle.

Q: What are my car financing options?

We have partnered with major banks and finance companies to provide you with vehicle loan at very competitive rates.

A copy of the applicant's latest IR8A, latest computerised payslips, or 12 months CPF contribution is required for loan application. Together with the your personal identity and signed application forms, our sales personnel will submit the application on your behalf.

Q: How long do I have to wait for the delivery of my car?

A: Once you place an order with us, we will proceed to deliver your car in the following stages:

Stage 1: Clearance at Singapore Customs
The respective car documents will be submitted to the Singapore Customs for customs valuation of the car. Upon valuation, an open market value (OMV) will be assigned. This process takes about 5 working days. After receiving the OMV of the car, we will process the import permit to bring the car out of port.

Stage 2: VITAS Submission
The respective car documents of the various models will be verified and approved in batches by a system called VITAS (Vehicle Inspection and Type Approval System), under the Land Transport Authority. This process will take between 3 to 7 working days, depending on the volume of submission at that point of time.

Stage 3: Vehicle Inspection
After verification of the car documents by VITAS, a Notice of Inspection will be sent to the importer via email. We will then bring the car to the authorised LTA Inspection Centres (e. VICOM Ltd or STA Inspection Centre) for inspection.

Stage 4: Notice of Approval
All cars in the batch submission will be inspected and approved by the LTA Inspection Centre before a Notice of Approval is sent to the importer via email. An approval code will be given together with this Notice of Approval.

Stage 5: Registration of the Car
We will arrange for the car insurance and collect any outstanding payment from the LTALink (previously LOGCARD system). The Road Tax will be sent directly to the Registered Owner within 7 days of registration.

Stage 6: Delivery of the Car
Once your car is successfully registered, we will ensure that it is in top condition. Your car will be groomed and polished, with the number plate well-affixed.
